On August 9, 1995 Jerry Garcia passed on to his next journey.
At the time I had a local cable station in Northern New Jersey and wanted to do something special.
So we decided to throw a tribute for Jerry. I gathered musician friends of mine and put together
a 1 hour tribute show that was cablecast to over 80,000 homes in the North Jersey Area.

It so happened that that weekend (Aug. 19, 1995) my mother passed away.
So this program has a special meaning to me.
